A company that manufactures aluminum cans came to FrommConnect with software issues that were impacting production efficiency.
The manufacturer had recently installed a new can-stacker but was unable to implement it due to limited time and resources. FrommConnect stepped in to develop a control scheme and corresponding code for the stacker’s programmable logic controller (PLC). As a result, the can-stacker was fully operational, improving the efficiency of the production line.
In addition to integrating the can-stacker, FrommConnect simplified the operating software for the company’s palletizing conveyor system. This update made it easier for plant personnel to diagnose and resolve issues, reducing downtime and improving performance. The improved software also laid the groundwork for future enhancements, such as tracking pallets or determining whether they need to be stacked or wrapped.
